I wanted to tell you about the hotel where I will be hosting my Costa Rica photography workshops in 2020. The Carara Costa Rica Ocean View Hotel has much to offer me and my guests. Not the least of which is airconditioned rooms and wifi throughout the hotel.
This boutique hotel is managed by Esteban and Stephanie and their family. Their impeccable service and hospitality won me over from the first time I visited this beautiful place.
From this location we are trading the volcano view for a view of the Pacific ocean. This hilltop perch affords more than just a fantastic view. We’ve seen toucans, scarlet macaws, parrots, howler onkeys, coatimundis, and more. And that’s just from the patio at the hotel!
The hotel has a fantastic restaurant featuring home-cooked meals and hand-crafted coctails. This is typical Tico food at its best. All served in the open-air dining room with this unbeliveable view of the ocean.
The beach is somthing that many of my clients have asked about over the past ten years. I’m pleased to be able to add this much-requested feature to my upcoming workshops. The beach is an easy 5 minute drive down the mountain for exploring, shooting, or simply swimming and relaxing.
I will still be offering all of the fantastic wildlife photography as usual. This transitional area features 60% of the wildlife in Costa Rica! The Carara National Park is adjacent to the hotel, and Manuel Antonio National Park is a short drive away.
