I’ve been saying for a while now that the competition between Panasonic and Olympus has led to great strides in image quality for the Micro Four Thirds system in a very short time. It looks like the next step is close at hand.

Panasonic and Fuji have announced a partnership and a new high dynamic range image sensor. The new “organic CMOS” sensor promises huge advantages over current sensors. The highlights (no pun intended) for me are the industries highest dynamic range and 1.2 times higher sensitivity!

I can’t wait to see how this technology will be implemented in future Micro Four Thirds cameras from Panasonic!
