OK, so I couldn’t pick just one of these shots for this post. Obviously the subject of these photos is pretty special to me, but I am really proud of the images themselves.

My wife and I took our son to the beach for the first time last August. It was just a quick trip to Hilton Head Island, SC, but with the new baby every new experience is very special. I especially like the frames with my wife and my son. These were both special moments between them and I think the images reflect that.

This beach trip was the first time I had the chance to use the Panasonic/leica 25mm f1.4 lens on my OM-D E-M5. That lens has a “creaminess” that I really like, and I think it helped capture the spirit of these images.
