NYC-photo-workshopIf you keep up with my photos or workshops at all, I’m sure you have heard about my Route 66 Photo Adventure Workshop by now. That trip is all but full (ONE spot left) but there are other opportunities for you to join me and Rick Gerrity in the field right around the corner.

Rick and I are leading a small group around New York City October 31 through November 2. Rick is intimately familiar with the NYC area and he has arranged some shoots for us that are well off the beaten path. This will

We will have more access to Grand Central Station than most photographers dream of. For starters we will have tripod permits to shoot inside the terminal. If that’s not cool enough, We will be going underground to explore the abandoned tunnels beneath the station! You won’t find THAT in your guidebook!

We will be in New York during the Photo Plus Expo. PPE is the largest photo trade show in the country each year. Panasonic LUMIX USA has provided us with passes to the tradeshow for all of our guests! You will have the chance to see all of the new cameras, lenses, tripods, bags, etc, etc…

Speaking of the latest gear: I found out last week that our workshop guests will have the opportunity to try some brand new gear during the workshop. I don’t even think this stuff will be on the market by then. That will be a truly unique opportunity.

NYC taxiWe tried to find accommodations in Manhattan that were reasonably priced (don’t laugh), but we found the next best thing. We will be based at the Double Tree Hotel in Jersey City, NJ. It is just across the river with beautiful skyline views, and it s only a short train ride away from the heart of the city. You can contact our travel agent Erin at erin@ekdtravel.com to lock in the best rates.

I sure hope you can join us! As I write this there are a few spots open, but I don’t expect that to last long. Click here to find out more and register online.
